Data Directions has enjoyed successful, steady, growth for over twenty-five years.
1982 Data Directions was incorporated in Richmond, Virginia to provide high quality software application development consulting services to Richmond area clients. Services in mainframe and PC consulting were offered.
1984 DDI started offering IT Training to Richmond area clients in mainframe skills. Services opened up to the RISE training consortium. Classes in JCL, TSO, Clists, REXX, CICS and IMS were offered.
1990 DDI services grew to include outsourced project development work and expanded class offerings in DB2, Dialog Management, Relational Database Design, Process Modeling, FileAid and SQL.
1997 Acquired the Richmond office of American Management Systems consulting group.
2000 Acquired Spi New Media, a twenty-seven year old corporate communications firm with design, photography, video and interactive multi-media production capabilities. Created a new Interactive Multi-Media division as an expansion to our IT services.
2001 DDI expanded offices and services in outsourced projects to include application develpoment, support, and maintenance using a state of the art development environment supporting Windows and Linux/UNIX development projects. Built a fully functional training facility to support the expansion of our training curriculum including SQL Server, HTML, Javascript, Perl, ASP and other web development topics.
